Marty of Social Club – Support Real Rappers

Think Christians can’t be MCs? I take it you haven’t heard of Marty of Social Club… or tons of other real rappers out there. The problem is mainstream media and industries titans are afraid of rappers like this because they’re afraid of the truth.

Here’s a bit of background on this artist (you need to support!):

Martin Lorenzo Santiago is a rapper that goes by the stage name Marty and/or Marty Mar. He is an American hip hop musician that’s Christian and doesn’t hide from his faith. He is part of the duo, Social Club Misfits, with his partner, Fern. His first extended play, Marty for President, was released in 2015. This was his breakthrough release upon the Billboard magazine charts. He has also been featured in music by NF.

I Bless the Rains Down in Africa!

One of my all time favorite 80s throwbacks is here for your enjoyment. “Africa” by Toto is an iconic song from the 1980s that we all loved then and still down now anytime it plays.

For some reason it’s one of those songs that once you hear it you can never forget it again. Enjoy my newest 80s throwback, now I need to go start planning my trip and remember to always bless the rains down in Africa.

90s Flashback: It Just ‘Feels Good’

Time for a 90s Flashback! Are you old enough to remember “Feels Good” by Tony! Toni! Tone!? If you were growing up in the late 80s and early 90s then you know this jam!

Anyway, the year was 1990 and I would have been up in my room playing with some some ninja turtles and listening to the Top 10 Countdown from my local radio station. Odds are you were probably doing something similar because we all did about the same thing back then. After all we didn’t have the internet or smartphones — we had the radio.

Well from 1990-91 there was one song that was definitely on that Top 10 Countdown and it was “Feels Good” by the three Tony(i)(e)s. Ready for a flashback? I hope so and who better to introduce it then 90s staple Sinbad himself.

Ebola in Town (SONG): Meanwhile in Africa

Currently a song has gone beyond viral in Africa, ‘Ebola in Town’ has become almost a theme song of sorts for the people there — and for good reason. Though many may not realize it, we are in the midst of the largest Ebola outbreak in history, that actually started in 2013, with more infections and deaths recorded than ever before. Check the startling stats for yourself.

The song epitomizes a society that is both fearful of their own government as well as the spread of the Ebola virus. That combination not only resonates with them but with people from around the world as we see our own government’s lack of response.

Ebola in Town by Shadow, D-12 and Kuzzy of 2kings

The musicians said that the idea came about spontaneously but they wanted to create something that was catchy, spread awareness but at the same time was something people could dance to and enjoy.

Not for nothing but I truly believe these guys have done more to spread awareness about Ebola to the people of Liberia and beyond, more so than our own United States Government plus they rock auto-tune like no others. Keep up the great work guys!

Please share this article with your friends to help spread awareness and to help gain more exposure for these guys.

Kid N Play Dance Off: Ain’t My Type of Hype

Grow up in the 80s and early 90s? If so then you know all about the Kid N Play dance off! House Party was one of those movies that everyone saw and loved. 1990 seemed to be the official start of the Kid ‘N Play era — these guys were literally everywhere.

You would have been hard pressed to find someone who didn’t, not only love the movie but wish they could rock this dance routine.

Best of all it was male vs female so there was a part for everyone but the focus was on those foot moves Kid ‘N Play were rocking.

Quest for the Lost Civilization by Graham Hancock

Imagine for a second that Christopher Columbus wasn’t the first man in the Americas… Wait a minute I think we all realize that but according to Graham Hancock in his documentary film, Quest for the Lost Civilization, it goes much deeper than that when it comes to the growth and complexity of society as a whole.

In fact much of what we think we know about the advancement of our modern societies might all be completely false or in the least way off track.

From the Great Pyramids of Egypt to the Jungles of Cambodia, he takes us on an epic journey to some of the most fascinating and straight up mind blowing structures you have ever seen. Along the way he lays out the mysterious connections between all of them that leads to the controversial theory that their was an even greater, lost civilization that is responsible for much of this.

Of course it’s only controversial to those thick headed college professor types that won’t dare to deviate from the text book — we know how accurate and factual those things are. Check out this documentary for yourself but allow some time for it because this bad boy is over 2 hours long but interesting as hell.

Personal Opinion: This is the perfect thing to watch when you’re headed to bed. Just lay there, have your mind blown and quite possibly some of the scariest frigging nightmares you’ve ever experienced.
